  21. BML for Layout is almost ready for Beta.  This is a call for participants in
  22. the Beta test phase of BML for LightWave 3D Layout.  BML for Layout includes
  23. five plugins that cover the following Layout plugin architectures:
  24.  
  25.              Image Filter
  26.              Procedural Texture
  27.              Object Replacement
  28.              Displacement Map
  29.              Item Animation (Object Motion)
  30.  
  31. Additional architectures may or may not be added at a later date.

  33. Please be aware:

  35.     THIS IS A BETA VERSION OFFERING FOR THE Intel PLATFORM ONLY,
  36.                 AND NOT FIT FOR GENERAL PUBLIC USE.

  38. At this time, other platforms (i.e., DEC Alpha) are not being included in
  39. this Beta test program.  (Sorry guys.)
  40.  
  41. As with BML for Modeler, participation will be restricted to only twenty (20)
  42. seats.  I will accept the next 20 requests for a Beta seat that appear in this
  43. mailbox (vvisions@dimensional.com).  Those requests that do not fall within
  44. the 20-seat limit will be rejected.  However, PLEASE READ THE REMAINDER
  45. OF THIS MESSAGE BEFORE REPLYING!

  47. This initial Beta version comes with "working" documentation in electronic
  48. form.  To date, there are not many example scripts available.
  49.  
  50. Participation in the Beta phase of BML for Layout is US$100.  As with BML for
  51. Modeler, this price will likely be at least half the price of the full
  52. release of all five plugins.  REGISTERED BETA USERS OF BML for Layout WILL
  53. RECEIVE A FREE UPGRADE TO THE FULL-RELEASE VERSION (all five plugins) FOR ANY
  54. PLATFORM SUPPORTED BY THE SOFTWARE.  Commercial versions of BML for Layout will
  55. be available for purchase at full retail price when it is available (i.e.,
  56. when Beta phase is complete and documentation is done).  The retail price
  57. of each plugin will be determined at a later date.

  59. I will contact individuals directly (make sure your email address works!) when
  60. I have all 20 Beta seats spoken for to give them instructions on getting
  61. their copies.
